My Seductive Highlander (A Highland Hearts Novel) by Maeve Greyson
Overview by Publisher:
Though part of a legacy of time-traveling sisters, Lilia Sinclair is planted firmly in twenty-first-century Edinburgh. Her granny’s matchmaking with thirteenth-century Highlanders isn’t about to lure her into the past, especially as ancient Scotland enters troubled times. After all, Lilia is blessed—or cursed—with dire prophetic visions. To protect herself, she’s put up an icy emotional wall no man could cross—until a pair of gorgeous, rippling arms breaks right through.
Graham MacTavish is pure trouble. Once the dragon bound to Loch Ness, he’s transformed into a philanderer of the first order. In fact, because of his dalliances with other men’s wives, a rival clan wants his head on a pike. Before he provokes an all-out war, Graham is banished to the twenty-first century, where he must win Lilia’s hand—or return to die. But after meeting a lass as fierce as any Highland warrior, Graham knows one thing: life with Lilia, in any century, is a fate to embrace.
Let me shed a little tear…I have really loved this series and it’s over! Granny Sinclair has seen all of her beloved granddaughters settled but one. This is the final story in the Highland Hearts series and it’s Lilia’s turn to find her happily ever after.
The Sinclair women are time jumpers. They were all born in the 13th century, but raised in America in modern day. One by one, Granny Sinclair has brought them back in time when the fates have decreed it is time for them to be matched with their soulmates. This series is heavy on the science fiction compared to other time travel romance – there is dragons, magic and such featured.
Graham has been freed from a curse that had him living for three hundred years as a dragon by day and man by night. To say that he has been on a bender would be an understatement. A decidedly bad decision to have a threesome with a neighbouring Laird’s mistress and wife has put a price on his head. He has to head to the future to escape his misdeeds, but he has a purpose – Lilia.
Granny Sinclair has sent Graham and Angus to modern day Edinburgh to find Lilia and protect her. She is not in mortal danger, but rather she has gifts that make her susceptible to depression and despair. Lilia is an exciting character to read about. She loves to role play as a medieval fighter and is quite adept at swords and horses. This foreshadows that it’s an important skill to have as the past is calling.
After a few missteps, Graham makes progress with Lilia and they find an all consuming passion with each other. Like all the books, Maeve Greyson can write a hot and steamy sex scene that has you hot and bothered. Since they find happiness and lust with each other pretty quickly, it was predictable that they would be heading to the past and that would open a whole host of problems.
If you are a fan of this series, you will enjoy spending time with all the couples from previous books and learning about their off spring. The epilogue literally had me in tears – it was so lovely and such a great way to end this series.
Graham and Lilia were a great adventure! They have lust and love in spades and the adventure they set out upon was just so much fun!
